💡 Tips for play
The playthrough is mostly guided, follow the quest book to not get lost. :)
Settings:
Shaders are included, ComplementaryUnbound is recommended, it is compatible with spells
Keybinds: spell casting hotkeys are assigned modern gaming mouse, players without a 5 button mouse should reset to default the spell hotbar keybinds shown here
Play:
Set game difficulty to at least medium
Team up with fellow players, both ways, /team for sharing some xp, and /ftbteams for sharing quest objectives
Early dungeons can be challenging, gear up for battles properly (like the quest says)
You can take early residence in the tavern of your village
At least 1 team member is recommended to choose a heavily armored class (paladin or warrior)
3rd Person view is nicely playable, and helpful for many players in open fields
Spell scrolls provide faster spell unlocks
Dungeon loot is stronger than crafted gear
Skill Tree points can be reset+refunded using "Orb of Oblivion"
Notable tweaks:
Durability loss of equipment is significantly lower
Repairing items on anvil is significantly cheaper
Enchantment slots on items are limited, so you have to make actual choices (however due to the changes above its easy to ditch Unbreaking and Mending)
Hunger is lost slower, and natural health regeneration is also slower (to embrace healer/support roles)
Armor Attribute damage reduction is rebalanced (to hyperbolic curve), high armor points (such as from Diamond Armor set) are far less useful
Critical hits are chance based, vanilla jump crits are disabled (to balance damage output)
