Enshrouded is Keen Games' co-op fantasy survival game — released in Early Access in 2024 and one of the fastest-growing survival titles of that year. Up to 16 players share a procedurally generated world with biomes, the deadly 'Shroud' mist, base building, and a quest progression that scales through the game's Flames and altar systems. Dedicated servers shipped alongside launch and are the standard for communities.
The official dedicated server binary installs via SteamCMD and supports the full 16-player cap out of the box. Our Enshrouded template preconfigures the expected UDP ports, daily backup retention, and auto-update behavior. Crossplay is not supported — Enshrouded is PC-only on Steam at the time of writing.
Enshrouded's server is moderately CPU-heavy — the Shroud simulation, flora growth, and entity AI all tick server-side. 6 GB RAM handles a small casual server; 8–12 GB comfortable for full 16-player servers with mid-game bases. Our Ryzen 9 nodes keep frame times stable during Shroud-zone raids where budget CPUs hitch.
