Counter-Strike 2 is Valve's 2023 successor to CS:GO — same Source 2 rebuild, same 5v5 competitive format, same Workshop map ecosystem. Private servers still drive the community scene: practice servers, surf maps, KZ/bhop servers, retake servers, Zombie Escape, and custom game modes.
Our CS2 template installs via SteamCMD with SourceMod and MetaMod preconfigured. The full Workshop map collection loads via mapcycle.txt. RCON is exposed as a tab in the panel — no need to connect via a Source RCON client. Tick rate, fps_max, and sv_ settings are all form fields.
CS2 servers are light on RAM (2–4 GB comfortably) but sensitive to network latency and CPU scheduling. Our 13-location network keeps player ping under 30ms on regional servers. DDoS protection is standard — CS2 public servers attract attack more than most games.

Yes — Valve retired CS:GO in late 2023. Our template is CS2 by default. Some legacy servers still run CS:GO via the -retry branch; contact support if you need that specifically.
