VEIN is a post-apocalyptic zombie survival multiplayer sandbox — in the near future, society has collapsed, the infected roam the wasteland, and trusted fireteams are the only way to survive. Cooperative play is the core loop; PvP is available for communities that want the harder edge, where other players are a bigger threat than zombies.
Our VEIN template installs the official dedicated server via SteamCMD with auto-updates, persistent world saves, and the expected ports configured. Communities running small fireteam co-op typically use 4–8 slots; PvP communities run 16–32 slots.
VEIN's official spec calls for 12 GB RAM minimum and a quad-core CPU — heavier than most survival games in its class. We recommend our Pro plan (12 GB) as the baseline; 16–24 GB for 32-slot PvP communities. NVMe storage keeps save writes smooth during heavy play.
