StarRupture is a first-person open-world base-building and combat game — extract resources, build industrial systems, and fight alien monsters on a hostile procedurally generated world. Solo and up to 4-player co-op are both supported. The dedicated server binary is currently experimental (released via Steam playtest tools) and in active development by the studio.
Our StarRupture template installs the experimental dedicated server binary with the expected ports, persistent world saves, and auto-updates as new playtest builds ship. Because it's experimental, we track the developer's recommended build and don't force updates to unstable branches.
StarRupture's dedicated server wants 8 GB RAM minimum and a quad-core CPU per the official spec. Our Starter plan meets this; Novice (6 GB) falls under the official minimum — we recommend Rookie (8 GB) or above for StarRupture specifically.
