Abiotic Factor is a 2024 co-op survival game from Deep Field Games, set in a Half-Life-inspired subterranean research facility. After reality breaks and the site fills with anomalies, you and up to 5 other scientists must scavenge, craft weapons from office supplies, eat cafeteria food past its expiration date, and slowly piece together what went wrong — while dimensional horrors hunt you between the cubicles.
The game ships with an official dedicated server binary on Steam (installed via SteamCMD), which we deploy and tune automatically. Every Abiotic Factor instance we provision comes with the correct Game.ini defaults, opened UDP ports, and a day-night cycle scaled to a dedicated-server use case rather than the solo-game defaults.
Performance-wise, Abiotic Factor is light on RAM but moderate on CPU — the Unreal Engine 5 build handles physics and anomaly AI per connected player. Our 4 GB Starter plan runs a full 6-player server without issues; we recommend 8 GB if you're running multiple save slots or expect long uptimes where the world state grows. Crossplay is planned but not yet live — the game is PC-only on Steam at the time of writing.
